Structural Glazing & Rooflight Specialists
Most of our lantern work is the Sheerline S1 in aluminium. The frames are slim, so you get more glass and more daylight, and the thermal break keeps the warmth in. They suit nearly every kitchen extension we see across London.
For a flatter, more modern look we fit fixed or walk-on flat glass rooflights. From inside you see glass and almost no frame — ideal over a side return or a clean, contemporary extension.
Conservation Area Expertise: If you're in a conservation area, we use low-profile heritage rooflights that sit flush with the tiles. They bring the light in without changing the look of the roof, which keeps the council happy.
Every rooflight installation includes:

We are approved installers of the Sheerline S1 aluminium roof lantern system — one of the warmest and most thermally efficient lanterns on the market. Slimline 50mm rafters, self-cleaning solar glass, marine-grade powder coating, and U-values down to 1.0 W/m²K as standard.
Usually not. A rooflight normally falls under Permitted Development as long as it doesn't project more than 150mm above the roofline. Conservation areas and Listed Buildings are the exception — we'll spec a heritage rooflight and help you get it approved.
The S1 gets down to a U-value of around 1.0 W/m²K thanks to its multi-chambered thermal break — comfortably better than Building Regs require. In plain terms: less heat escaping and smaller heating bills.
No — not with a modern frame. The Sheerline S1 has a proper thermal break and double or triple glazing, so the heat stays in over winter. The solar-control coating also stops the room overheating in July.
Yes. We use low-profile heritage rooflights that sit flush with the tiles and satisfy conservation officers. We handle the paperwork and liaising with planning so it gets signed off without a fight.
Cost depends on the size, specification (flat glass vs lantern vs conservation), and any structural work required. We provide a fixed, accurate quote after a free site survey — no estimates over the phone.
