A dense hardwood providing exceptional structural strength for large window spans. Heavy glass units require massive timber mullions and transoms — Sapele holds this weight without bowing.
We install thick laminated safety glass instead of standard toughened panes. Laminated glass holds together when struck with heavy force, preventing smash-and-grab burglaries.
We mortice heavy-duty deadlocks directly into solid Sapele stiles. Standard residential locks don't provide adequate commercial security — ours are specified for commercial premises.
A storefront must protect your inventory through the night. We integrate high-security hardware directly into the traditional timber frames and manage all logistics — including local authority permits for central London locations.

The fabrication takes 2–4 weeks in our workshop. On-site installation is typically completed within 1–3 days depending on size and complexity, minimising disruption to your business.
It depends on your property and location. Many like-for-like timber replacements are permitted development. Conservation area and Listed Building properties require more care — we advise on this as part of our free site survey.
Timber offers a warmth, authenticity, and craftsmanship that aluminium and uPVC simply cannot match. It's also the only material accepted in most conservation areas. With the right timber (Accoya or Sapele) and finish, it will outlast any aluminium system.
